Brian Negus

Brian Negus is a highly experienced and motivated board member and leader. Brian is a past Chairman and current Associate of the CICA Group; Ambassador, Board Member, and Immediate Past President, of Intelligent Transport Systems Australia; and a Board Member of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He holds qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport and Traffic Engineering and Executive Management. Brian is also a Club Melbourne Ambassador for the Melbourne Convention Centre.
Brian brings over 40 years of Government and private sector transport experience to these roles which draws on his senior management positions as General Manager, Public Policy at RACV, Deputy Director of Public Transport in Victoria, Regional Director at VicRoads and General Manager of Port Planning at the Melbourne Port Corporation. He has also played a fundamental role in the development and implementation of the renowned SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) urban traffic control system, which is now used globally in over 27 countries.
Brian exhibits outstanding skills in transport operations management, project management, government and stakeholder relationship management, business planning, project feasibility analysis, smart technology application and analytical problem-solving.
With a passion for improving the livability, safety and mobility of the community through transport initiatives and technology, Brian has a keen interest in initiatives and programs to support community services and improve well-being in society. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Templestowe since 1985 and served as Club President, Assistant District Governor and Chair of the District Community Services Committee.
Brian will continue to develop beneficial relationships across all sectors of the Australian economy, focusing on business and strategic investments to ensure Cica Group remains a sustainable business in the long term.
