Chair of the Board of Directors
Brian Negus is a highly experienced, motivated and ambitious professional and board member with a demonstrated history of work within the public policy and advocacy industries. Brian joins Cica Group as Chair of the Board, in addition to his present role as Strategic Adviser for the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) and board member with Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI).
Brian brings over 40 years of government and private sector transport experience to Cica drawing on his senior management positions at RACV, Public Transport Victoria, VicRoads and the Melbourne Port Corporation. He has also played a fundamental role in the development and implementation of the renowned SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) urban traffic control system, which is now used globally in over 27 countries.
Brian exhibits outstanding skills in transport operations management, project management, government and stakeholder relationship management, business planning, project feasibility analysis, smart technology application and analytical problem-solving.
With a passion for improving the livability, safety and lifestyle of the community through transport mobility and technology, Brian has a keen interest in initiatives and programs to support community services and improve well-being in society. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Templestowe since 1985 and served as Club President, Assistant District Governor and Chair of the District Community Services Committee.
Brian will continue to develop beneficial relationships across all sectors of the Australian economy, focusing on business and strategic investments to ensure Cica Group remains a sustainable business in the long term.
