Sam is a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Engineer with extensive experience in both the Defence and Construction sectors of Major Infrastructure Projects and is recognized for his strong understanding of the project cost base coupled with management and business metrics providing the business with sound understanding of performance and trends to the business. 

He has the ability to provide simplified analysis, measurement and relationships to complex project financial models to something that is easily digestible. Significant experience in cost planning and feasibility and business impacts of major projects.

Highlights

Head of the Cost Control team on the $6billion ANZAC Ship Project (ASP) which has been arguably the most successful Defence Project in recent times.
Head of Cost Control team on the $400 M Project Protector Project for New Zealand MoD.
Provided all Cost Engineering expertise in the winning of the ANZAC In Service Support Contract, AWMA (Bandiana) Commercial Support Program, LHD Program, ASMD and AWD Module Programs.
Integral Team Member undertaking due diligence activities on the sale of Australian Defence Industries.
Following the receivership of Interwest Properies, was responsible for the reconciliation and co-ordination of all sub-contractors payments, negotiation of new contract terms and the signing up of forty (40) sub-contractors following the sacking of the original Construction Manager on the Twin Waters Resort project in Queensland. Completion of Twin Waters Resort.
Preparation and responsibility for operations budget relating to the Resort’s first year through to five years of operation forecasts.
Commonwealth Serum Laboratories: Parkville: $120 million (1985 value). Site examination and valuation for insurance purposes.
